Sam Kuhn’s Lion Attack!!!!

When I met Sam a few years ago my first impression was this kid is gonna kill it, since then, he hasn’t stopped impressing. His amazing work ethic, creative drive, positive attitude, knowledge of equipment and straight up talent set him far apart from his peers. His ever expanding client list already consists of the likes of Nike 6.0, Snowboarder Magazine, Transworld Snowboarding, Community Transit, Avalara, Dellacio Collection, Imperial Motion, Stevens Pass, Bonfire, Ir77, Slow Runner, Roxy, your’s truly, Nemo Design and get this…he’s only 20!!!

Just about now you should stop feeling old and unaccomplished…instead, check out his motion picture collective Lion Attack. Keep it up Sam!

Powder & Rails on VBS.TV

Powder & Rails is a new video series on VBS.TV. It covers snowboarding’s early days, day-glo and all! With interviews from Pat Bridges of Snowboarder Magazine, Kevin English of HCSC, Nemo’s own Trevor Graves and many more legends in the game! They give the low down on those days of tindy’s, grassers, eggplants and stiffy mute’s! TUNE IN!

On my own two feet.

There is a lot that goes into getting ready for a day of filming/shooting snowboarding in the back country. Wake up at dawn, gas/oil up the snowmobile, drive x amount of hours, unload, start up the sled and get up that hill. While it is very convenient rooping around on a sled to get the shot, being out is such beautiful scenery choking on the two stroke engine exhaust can take away from the experience. So what is a snowboard film crew to do? Well if your involved with Leeward Cinema you gather a group of riders, pack your provisions ,strap snowshoes/split-boards on your feet, hike out, and camp out in the snow for a few days documenting all shredding/ shenanigans along the way. No engine exhaust, no gasoline, no digging out a flipped over sled, (shudder) just hiking out, and taking time to really appreciate the whole experience. They have a laundry list of amazing riders to boot. The teaser is rad as well, I think the beetlejuice theme really tops it off. Good show guys/gals,can’t wait to see the final cut!
