Foam Magazine

A magazine containing the perfect mix of fashion, action, ocean, art, and music. Its a great entertainer for those of us girls who like to get out there in lineup next to the guys, then head home and blast our old records while picking out our favorite outfit.

They feature female riders from all walks of life, and never cease to present them with fashionable grace and ease. Making the natural beauty of these ladies glow with their great selection of photography.

The past few issues have featured nike 6.0 athletes Monyca Bryne-Wickey and Malia Manuel. Shot by our very own, Kari Rowe.

tunnel_jam_2-550x309

Nike just released the official Tunnel Jam video! Don’t know much about this project other than they spent six weeks building this amazing set up in an abandoned tunnel. This video is sick! Some amazing combo tricks, huge transfers and a broken bike frame! Check out the video here at Defgrip!

Proud to present….

Here at Studio Nemo we are proud, proud, proud to present the work we’ve been doing over the summer months. I travelled with an amazing crew of Nemo, Nike and Selby folks to NYC, New Jersey, Duluth, Tahiti, Florida and Georgia to capture this year’s Nike 6.0 apparel campaign on film. Todd Selby has incredible style and was great at getting Nike 6.0’s athletes to take us deeper into their everyday lives. Thank you to everyone who was involved. Check out The Selby and his post about the shoots. It’s amazing- Videos, interviews and photos from all the athletes.

Nike 6.0 Athlete Photoshoot @ Studio Nemo

Untitled from alex mertz on Vimeo.

Last week Nike6.0 photographer Josh Letchworth dropped in to our studios to shoot various 6.0 athletes while Nike was hosting the kids for migration week, which they do every summer. Migration is an activity filled week and a meet and greet for all the athletes from the different sports to get to know each other. Even after running around all day, the kids were good about having to stay up til 2am-ish to get their photos taken. We were hammering out 16-18hr days, everyone pulled their weight and kicked ass. It was also the biggest build we’ve done for a set to date! All in all, it was lots of lights, lots of fun, lots of laughs! BIG thanks to Josh, the athletes, and everyone involved!!!!! Enjoy the video.

NIKE 6.0 Lightning Bolts aka NEMO in China

In preparation for the Olympics in China, Nike 6.0 hosted the “Lightning Bolts” BMX Exhibition in Beijing. The event brought BMXing’s legends out to play. 6.0 riders put on a live demo and legends customized number plates for the art show.

Nemo’s very own Mark Lewman, an OG of BMX’s Freestylin Magazine, was one of the brains behind the event. He has been hard at work creating an anniversary edition of Freestylin (that will have a very special limited release) and designing his very own number plate. YEAH Lew!
